About Trinity Clinic - Office of Research Administration (ORA)

Trinity Clinic was founded to carry out scientific research and research projects in the public interest in the fields of medical sciences, medical economics, public health, sociology and related areas. As the Clinic grew in numbers of physicians and specialties represented, coupled with the implementation of the medical record, the dream of starting a clinical research department became a reality.

In 2003, the Trinity Clinic Office of Research Administration (ORA) was established to enhance community health through cutting edge medical research. Thanks to a generous grant sponsored by Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics Foundation, the ORA promotes and facilitates quality clinical research throughout the System.

This centralized research office performs clinical trial management activities to provide one-stop shopping for sponsors and investigators. Multiple Phase III and IV studies and investigator-initiated studies are currently being conducted.

The ORA is staffed by Certified Clinical Research Coordinators (CCRC) who have a thorough knowledge of FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs).

The functions of the ORA include:

  • Provide investigator support
  • Review incoming protocols for feasibility and fiscal oversight
  • Act as a liaison between industry and site
  • Assist with legal review
  • Manage regulatory documents to include Institutional Review Board submissions
  • Active marketing of our site to industry sponsors
  • Staff training
